I am a self taught artist and my creative journey was definitely not a straight line. It all started in Bristol when I took up knitting in 2014 as a form of soothing and healing at a very hard time in my life but it quickly became my favourite thing to do.
I opened my first Etsy shop in 2015 selling knitted blankets and other knitted garments, but my curiosity for creating didn’t stop there. After a while I began sewing and my shop was transformed into something compleatly different where I sold pillows, bags and accessories.
At the beginning of 2016 my husband and I moved to my home town in Chile with the goal of perusing my Etsy shop as our form of income. I came across the challenge of not finding the fabrics I loved for creating my pieces and although it felt like a nightmare at the time I now consider it to be one of the best things that could’ve happen to me. This is when I began to paint my own fabrics with simple monochrome patterns but after a while I realised I wanted more colourful and detailed designs that my hand painting method didn’t allow me to do. That’s when I invested in my first Ipad where I started drawing digital patterns I could then print on fabric.
When my husband and I moved back to England, I didn’t have a studio space, so It was the perfect opportunity to concentrate on my digital designs. Patterns turned into abstracts and illustrations and everything I create now
My artworks are inspired by fashion, interior design, cool powerful women, beautiful colours and interesting shapes.
